How to Master NOLI in Under 5 Minutes – Roblox Forsaken

This guide breaks down every part of NOLI's kit — Hallucination, Void Rush, Nova, and Observant — the way our own team plays him after several hundred rounds as the killer. We also reference gameplay footage from Kaizd (watch the full video) to illustrate a few of the timing windows below.

🧠 Passive Ability: Hallucination

NOLI's abilities inflict hallucinations on survivors, coming in three levels with different effects:

  • Hallucination 1: Hides the game timer, disrupting survivors' sense of time.
  • Hallucination 2: Spawns fake pizza slices and healing dispensers to confuse players.
  • Hallucination 3: Creates fake NOLI clones that deal fake damage, but actually inflict 10 true damage.

All hallucination levels reveal the survivor’s aura to NOLI, giving you the upper hand in tracking.

⚡ Ability 1: Void Rush

This is NOLI’s strongest offensive skill. After a short wind-up, NOLI charges forward:

  • The first charge deals minor damage.
  • You can instantly use it again to deal major damage.
  • Can pass through walls and be spammed if used properly.

Pro Tips:

  1. Use it only when close to survivors, not while roaming.
  2. Combo it right after using Observant for instant pressure.
  3. Release the skill key to stop charging early and avoid overshooting.
  4. You can use Void Rush infinitely as long as the target has Hallucination 2 or higher — until you hit them.
  5. Void Rush can go through walls, great for ambushes.

🌟 Ability 2: Nova

Nova is a throwable that explodes on contact, dealing slight damage and pulling survivors toward the center.

Three Smart Uses:

  1. Snipe survivors repairing generators – hit multiple targets and rush in while they’re stunned.
  2. Predict movement during chases – aim at corners or obstacles rather than directly at the survivor.
  3. Toss it over small objects that survivors like to loop around.

❗ Avoid using Nova blindly during chases — smart prediction = real value.

👁️ Ability 3: Observant

NOLI's map mobility tool. After a 1.5s wind-up, he teleports to any generator on the map.

How to Use It Effectively:

  • Use it for fast rotations and survivor mind games.
  • Survivors far from the generator you teleport to will get stronger hallucinations.
  • In last man standing, teleport ahead of your target’s escape path and chain into Void Rush for an easy hit.
  • Works almost like X-ray vision — you briefly see all survivors after arriving.

🎯 Reading the Chase: When to Commit

NOLI isn't a killer who wins fights by reacting — he wins them by setting the trap before the chase even starts. The biggest mistake newer NOLI players make is popping Void Rush the moment they see a survivor, which telegraphs the charge and gives them a full window to juke sideways.

Instead, treat Observant as your setup tool and Void Rush as the finisher. Teleport in, let the hallucination pressure build for a second or two while survivors reposition, then commit to Void Rush once a survivor has already picked a direction — ideally toward a wall or dead end rather than open space. Committing half a second later than feels natural is almost always correct with NOLI, because his kit punishes survivors for movement, not for standing still.

🗺️ Map Awareness: Tight Corridors vs. Open Rooms

Void Rush's ability to clip through walls makes NOLI disproportionately strong on maps with narrow hallways and connected rooms — Rebord Family Abode and Horror Hotel are good examples, since a wall that blocks a survivor's sightline doesn't block your charge. On more open maps, lean harder on Hallucination 3's fake clones instead of forcing wall-clips; a clone dropped near a generator or a chokepoint does more work in open sightlines than trying to ambush through terrain a survivor can already see coming. If you're unsure which mode a map favors, watch where survivors loop early in the round — tight loops mean Void Rush ambushes pay off, wide loops mean hallucination pressure pays off.

⚠️ Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Using Void Rush from long range "to close the gap" — it deals minor damage on the first hit and gives away your position before you're close enough to follow up.
  • Throwing Nova on reflex during a chase instead of predicting a loop — a missed Nova has a real cooldown cost you can't recover mid-chase.
  • Teleporting with Observant to the nearest generator instead of the one that puts you between a survivor and their escape route.
  • Ignoring Hallucination stacking — a survivor already at Hallucination 2+ takes real damage from what looks like a harmless fake clone.

✅ Final Takeaways

NOLI rewards patience more than raw aggression. His kit is built around making survivors move first, then punishing the direction they chose — which means the strongest NOLI players are usually the ones who commit last, not first. Spend a few rounds just watching how survivors react to Observant's teleport before you start chasing kills with it, and the timing on Void Rush and Nova will click faster than trying to memorize combos in a vacuum.
